Glenmuir played a very tough game against Muirhevnamor on Sunday 23rd Ocotober. Both teams started strong and though their defences were busy there were very few shots on goals from either side.The closest Glenmuir came in the first half was a free kick from Niall O'Callaghan on the right after Nathan Kirk was brought down and Muirhevnamor came close from a corner that flashed across the Glenmuir goal but nobody managed to get a touch on it.

Glenmuir pushed hard in the second half and Tom Watkins was put through but an excellent tackle from the Muirhevnamor defender denied him the shot. Glenmuir had some long range shots and forced Muirhevnamor to concede several conrners, it was from one these corners that the ball was whipped in near post and the keeper failed to deal with the spinning ball and dropped it into the net.

Muirhevnamor were quick and dangereous on the break and forced several corners however their best chance came when the Glenmuir defence failed to clear the ball and their striker was one-on-one with the keeper Aaron Dunlop, but Aaron got down well to knock the ball across the goal and Glenmuir cleared down the line

The last few minutes saw Liam Mcstravick sitting deep in midfield preventing any break from Muirhevnamor and Glenmuir kept them in the own half putting their defence under alot of pressure however Glenmuir failed to capitalize on this pressure.

The game finished with a hard fought 1-0 to Glenmuir, well done to all.
